John Savage

I am a lifelong Labour supporter with membership since 1987. I have lived and worked in many different places and bring a broad range of life experience and knowledge to the party.

I have lived in Southampton for 13 years. My children, now 15 and 17, have rooted me here, making me care deeply about this city and its future.

I have been working as a Southampton City Councillor for the last 4 years supporting local people in a range of casework and delivering numerous projects across the ward.

I see the Labour party as a broad church. I value and respect the diversity of voices we represent and the strength it gives us against the narrow interests of the Conservatives. I will continue to bring a fresh open approach to my work with members in Portswood, working with integrity and creativity to retain the City Council for the Labour party and in the interest of local residents.

In the last few years I have been privileged to hold the position of Chair of the Planning and Rights of Way (PROW) panel. As such I usually avoid discussions with residents on matters related to specific planning applications in order to keep a complete sense of objectivity on planning issues.

    Hi John

I believe you are the chair of the Chair of the Panel looking at River usage in Southampton and would love to to get in contact with you to discuss the proposed water taxi. I have left my details so hopefully you can spare me half an hour.

    Best Regards

    Mike
